Kate Bahu

My business background is in Marketing with large organisations such as the AA (motoring variety) to setting up a Marketing Department at BBC Monitoring and a variety of freelance work. I was a primary school governor for some 10 years setting up a breakfast and after school club. For Oxfordshire County Council my role as an Extended Schools Coordinator gave me direct experience of working with schools and their communities supporting young people and their parents. Having retired, I support a wide variety of charities including tin rattling for Against Breast Cancer, organising Abingdon's Splash of Pink several times and volunteering in a Cancer Research UK shop. I was Co-Chair of the Oxfordshire Support Group for Hope and Homes for Children organising fundraising events and giving talks to raise awareness of the charity's work. Sadly I have lost two friends to secondary breast cancers so I fully support the research that Against Breast Cancer funds
